New Client Intake

For clients who need a full ABA evaluation, who would like a second opinion, those that don’t know where to start with ABA, or those that would like to continue services with me after the completion of the intake.

This will include at least one assessment form (Vineland, VB-MAPP, etc), indirect assessment (surveys, questionnaires, and/or interviews), direct assessment (observations and/or interactions with your child), and records review (diagnosis reports, previous reports, IEPs, etc.). This is typically about 3-4 hours, primarily via Telehealth with you*, and about 2-3 hours of indirect work at the office (report writing, records review).

After the assessment has completed, we will review the findings together so that I can answer any questions you have. During this, I will also share the topic or topics recommended for the first two months of parent training, individualized based on the findings of the assessment and your input. The assessment review lasts 30 min to 1 hour via Telehealth.

In total, this package includes approximately 4-5 hours of direct work for the assessment with you and your family, 2-3 hours of indirect work, and then 4 hours of parent collaboration meetings - a savings of up to $1000

Parent Collaboration

Waiting to start ABA services? Child not qualifying for ‘enough’ hours at your current ABA agency? Don’t have an autism diagnosis?

This would require some assessment (direct and indirect - interviews, observations, goal or program writing, etc.) and at least two direct meetings per month. Once meetings begin, indirect work may also be required for documentation, program updates, material creation, or other situations which will be discussed before they are completed. Based on intensity, frequency, or potential for harm of the behaviors, more hours may be recommended. Services are billed in 15 min increments.

Parent Coaching

Interested in learning the basics of ABA? Did your child receive ABA services but you don’t really understand what they were doing? Do you have a good understanding of how to apply concepts for your toddler but struggling with ideas for your teenager?

This is for more of a general parent curriculum instead of one that is tailored to your needs. Most examples will be general but we can discuss some accidental situations from your real life as well.

IEE FBA

Independent Educational Evaluation, Functional Behavior Assessment

For parents who may disagree with the behavior plan, FBA, or other portions of their child’s IEP after the district has completed theirs - think of it as a second opinion.

As someone with 5-6 years experience working in public school districts completing FBAs, BIPs, and IEPs and another 5-6 years doing extensive collaboration, observations, and IEP attendance to support clients, I may be a great option for you! I have experience with PDA, extreme refusal, behaviors that are dangerous to the child themselves or others, elopement, and understanding how sensory needs or stress/anxiety can impact behaviors. As a neurodivergent myself, I may understand things that other assessors do not.

The cost of IEEs can often be reimbursed or paid for by the school district. Please check with an advocate, lawyer, or the district to ensure the proper steps are followed for it to be reimbursed or paid for by the district.

FBAs typically include observations, interviews, questionnaires, direct assessments, indirect assessments, or other measures as needed. As well as attendance at the IEP to review findings and answer questions related to the report. To my understanding, the district is not required to implement my findings but is required to take them into account when developing the IEP.

A Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) would also be provided based on the findings of the FBA, if needed.

School Collaboration

Is your child’s private school, after school program or preschool concerned about your child’s behavior? If you are worried about their behavior? Being able to meet their wants and needs? Engagement or social skills in their school setting? If the staff are open to collaboration, let’s work together!

This would require some assessment (direct and indirect - interviews, observations, goal or program writing, etc.) and at least two direct meetings or observations per month. Once meetings and observations begin, indirect work may also be required for documentation, program updates, material creation, or other situations which will be discussed before they are completed. Based on intensity, frequency, or potential for harm of the behaviors, more hours may be recommended. Services are billed in 15 min increments. It is recommended that school staff and parents attend the direct meetings, if possible, to help with consistency across settings.

*this is only offered in the Bay Area and if space allows for adequate support

My Services

After our initial consult, I may ask for additional reports, information or for another meeting, free of charge, to ensure we are a good fit.

If services are recommended, we will meet to discuss the basic plan and fee for the intake before I begin. This will likely include some assessment, interviews, or observations to identify specific goals for you and your child. For a more complicated case, this may require more hours to complete the assessment. For a simple case, this may require only a few hours to complete the initial intake. This may be a combination of direct and indirect work as needed but will be discussed before it is completed.

After the intake is complete, we will go through the hours and service recommendations, including goals and any potential limitations, for you or your child. You will then be able to decide if you agree we are a good match. From there, we can discuss the service schedule and on-going fees to match the hours and service recommendations.

If it is determined at any point that we are not a good match, I will do my best to provide additional resources or references for you!
