Hi, I’m Laura!

I became a BCBA in 2015 and have worked in ABA since 2011. I have extensive experience working in schools, homes, communities in-person and via Telehealth. Incorporating neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and child-led strategies as well as working collaboratively will achieve the best results.

My approach

I have been a BCBA for 10 years and am neurodivergent myself. During that time, I have focused on using communication and ensuring the adults in the environment are supporting that communication and connection through the child’s interests. Things like eye contact, requiring full sentences, suppressing stimming behaviors, or extinction likely are not the best approach to create and foster true connection and acceptance with your child. I want your child to be happy and relaxed, I want to understand what is important to them and help them get that. I will only suggest neurodivergent-affirming strategies and techniques for your child. I will be a strong advocate for your child but only if we are able to support them together.
